How pathetic has the construction progress on Napoleon been?

I thought this shite was going to be wrapped up in time for the Super Bowl. That was two years ago. What the frick is going on?

You should see how they do it in Texas; road construction projects never end, they just expand.

That's bad, and jefferson looks like it could be equally as bad.

THat "project" is actually multiple individual projects. Spanning different lengths. I assume you are talking about the box culvert work underneath the roadway. It's a lot more difficult than just roadwork. They are ripping up and rebuilding the water and sewer lines that have been there since the 30's. Lots of unknowns in that area too, due to lost plans from many years ago.

New Orleans isn't the only town that deals with these very same obstacles. The project would be completed elsewhere in less than a year. New Orleans works on a different clock.

Bunch of construction company owners up in here.

Must have given the contract to a Baton Rouge contractor.

it has been soo slow. Claibourne crawls along too. I get that both are getting new canals put in under the neutral ground, but still very slow.
Also they are tearing up the middle of streets and changing the draining then patching with black top. If you want to see the after effects of that, take a drive into the 9th ward.

Evidently you don't know shite about construction. A fricking year.

I've seen long stretches of Interstate and tollways go up in a year or two in Texas, and seen lane widening take four-six years here.

I don't and never claimed to.

Wide arse open interstate construction is a completely different animal from working in tight quarters like Napoleon. Not to mention having to deal with the residents.
