Is it open from I 10 to the beach? Cut your time a lot more than going down 59?

Are there wave in Gulf Shores?

It's open and saves time, as long as the bridge isn't backed up.

Definitely saves time. It's the first exit east of the highway 59 exit you've always taken to go to OB.

There are never waves in the gulf.

Fewer Gumps further East. Head East and cross into FL. Our girls are hotter, the beer is colder, the sand is sugarier, the water is greener and on and on and on...

It's actually called Baldwin Beach Express at I-10 (Exit 49, I think)...intersects with Foley Beach Express about 10 miles down the road. Saved us about 20 minutes of travel time a couple of weeks ago. Very few stoplights and no small town traffic.

If you're headed to OB or Perdido Key, this is the way to go.

After a while it will be almost as bad as 59

Hell it won't be long before there is a new stop light on the express way and 64 (much needed there IMO)

Saw it on the news that it's already in the works

It saves a little time, but watch out for cops. They're running radar on it a lot, and the speed limit is only 55. The only thing I don't like is the $3.50 they charge to cross the stupid bridge.

There is a $3.50 toll for a vehicle with no trailer. Just a heads up. You can pay cash or card.
