What is the boards opinion of onine auction drafts?

The OB is putting together a FF league. Trying to decide on a draft format. In real life, I love auction drafts, and probably won't do another snake draft again. It gives you a much better opportunity to build the team you want.
I've never done an auction online, what has been y'alls experience with online auction drafts? Still better than snake or no?

We did a 12 man ESPN auction on this board. Most of us were newbies. Was good, no issues.

To all that have had online auctions, what was the amount of time before bids were finalized? 45s, 30s, 20s?

my league was 20 seconds, but that decreases as bidding goes on. 20 seconds is really a lot. I'd try to make it 15.
