Drafting 7th in a 14 team draft. Standard espn scoring (no ppr, 4 points for passing TD, and 2 RB, 2 WR & 1 flex).
Any thoughts on drafting strategy?

I drafted from this position. I'd recommmend getting Murray, Lynch or Lacy with your first pick. I went WR heavy, getting Green and Brown, ended up with Joique and Gore as my starting running backs, which I'm fine with because of my strong WRs, but hindsight is 20/20. I'd also consider loading up on young high potential guys in the draft. With the disparity in players you're going to need a few breakout candidates. Read up on sleepers and deep sleepers. You're going to be drafting players a lot of the average fan hasn't heard of a lot, in the later rounds.
For the record I absolutely hated this position in the draft, and drafting with a bunch of 'experts' writers didn't make it much easier.

If 1 of the top RBs (AP,Jamaal, Shady, Forte, Lacy, Lynch) you take them. If not, take Calvin or Manning. And then hope to get a RB in the 2nd/3rd.
I was in a 14 man league last year and loved it because it made the draft so much tougher and you had to make really smart picks in the mid rounds and really build your roster. And late rounds are even tougher, as is the waiver wire.

I would suggest Jimmy Graham. You could draft committee backs like Williams and Stewart or Jones Drew and McFadden with picks 7-11, one will get injured elevating the other to round 3 status. Grab Graham then hope to get Brees or Rodgers in the 2nd.
This is of course assuming Charles, McCoy, and Peterson are gone. Your bust potential with even Forte or Lacy is too high. If you miss on your first pick in a 14 team draft just hang it up.
