Trucks or Bonamassa. Who do you pick?

The wiz kids of the guitar world. Both of these guys were playing with the biggest names in the music industry before they were in high school and the their musical range shows it.
I like them both but have to go with Bonamassa because he is a dominant personality on the stage and also sings (he has one of the best blues voices today). Just watched his Acoustic Concert at the Vienna House on YouTube last night and he put all of his talent on display...well worth the watch.

It comes down to a matter of personal taste. They're both very different styles of music. Personally i prefer Bonamassa for a few reasons, i love "power blues" and his style is solid. I like the simplicity of his songs combined with the bite of his solos.
Trucks is a smoother "flowier" musician. I'm a huge Warren Haynes fan as well and ive seen them share the stage more than once and Haynes wins that competition no contest.
Add in the non-guitar things Bonamassa does and its a no brainer for me.
They're both great though.

The only Bonamssa I can really dig is the Rock Candy Funk Party , and that isn't really anything mindblowing or anything. Dude is overrated.

Why are you laughing? You think Trucks is a better musician that Haynes?

Joe B by far. Both are great but Joe can do things with a guitar that others can only dream of .

Everyone is entitled to their opinion...even if it's wrong.

Bonamassa for me....
4 more days and I'm on a plane to red rocks to see him pay tribute to Muddy and Howlin' Wolf!

By miles. Although he needs to get the Derek trucks band back together, and ditch his terrible wife.

They both suck. Technically yes they can copy everyone else really well. Creativelly??? They bring nothing.

I'll be there too. My flight back from my weekend football travels lands at 330 and it better not be delayed!

I prefer Haynes to both.
These two can go either way for me.

Bonamassa is more technically skilled, plays with more power, precision, and is sooooo seasoned. He also has some of the greatest if not the greatest humbucker guitar tone ever recorded. What he and Kevin Shirley are able to capture in the studio is incredible. His playing is so elite that there are only a few players that have such control over the instrument.

I'll give the nod to Bonamassa by a hair. He has more versatility than Trucks. Derek is a one trick pony with a very, very good trick. The main thing I don't like about Bonamassa is that he's a little bit of a showboat.
