A Thursday night to start off your season...

Been thinking about this the last couple of days. A team would have a sizable advantage over an opponent going into their second game. Not only would you have played a game already you would have 2 extra days to prepare for your next game. This would be a nice way to ease into the season and start getting into a routine at the 3rd game fresher.
Maybe Les should consider it.

Considering most big time programs play the likes of ULM, SHSU, or North Texas their second games of the year i don't think 2 extra days of preparation means much.

True,BUT the advantage is the extra two days to prepare.
P.S. The second opponent might not have played the opening weekend which just increases the advantage. Still like it.

I just can't imagine an opponent that attractive to persuade LSU to do such a thing. USC maybe for old time's sake?
Depends on that point where exposure becomes more important than tradition, and LSU is obviously nowhere near that crossroads.

Considering that our 2nd and 3rd games are against teams like Sam Houston State and ULM, I think we'll be ok without that extra rest.
