as of this morning I find myself without a .45, so I guess I need to start shopping around for a new one. I had an XD in the 5" model and really liked it. Any idea what they are selling for these days? I'm probably going to look to stay around $600.

thanks

I'm forced to shoot this, and I despise it. I really love shooting my 19, but that 21 is terrible!

The only correct answer is a nice 1911. Save your pennies my man.

Or an HK.

As for the 1911 or 1911a1, the 40's are caliing you.

1911. The only one I can think of less than $600 is the RIA. Solid gun, though.

Glock 21, Generation 4

Springfield, maybe XDS or XDM. I dunno.

At Buds for $930. It's called the Colt 1911 XSE Lightweight.

what little I have been able to look around at this morning, it appears as though I may have to go to $700. I don't even remember what I paid originally.

I have a Glock 19, and I like it, but don't care about owning another.

will probably look at going with the XD again, maybe with the compact frame this time.

Jerry Miculek has a pretty good review of the new Glock 41 on You Tube, and that is coming from a Team Smith & Wesson guy, and someone who knows a hell of a lot more about pistols than anyone on this board.

Buds has a great layaway plan if you would rather do that. Get the gun you want. You could get a badarse HK or something.

S&W M&P .45, less than $600 and more than a solid piece.

In addition to RIA, Metro Arms/American Classic, American Tactical Imports, Tisas and Citadel have various models that should come under $600. I've been very pleased w/ my Citadel Officer model (made by same company as RIA) and American Classic Commander (made by same company as Metro Arms). Here's the Commander.

I've heard great things about RIA and ATI, but I have never heard anything good about Citadel. Tell me about your Citadel, bro.
