My father is 71 and logged 78 miles jogging so far this month. Damn proud of him. I just hope to not be worm food when I am 71.

60 something guy at the gym every morning at 6 am. Super prick though. Uses all the machines in superset fashion and expects no one to touch any of the 10 he is using. I just tell him I'll only be a few minutes and take the hate stares. Before he died my great grandfather, 104, was still picking up aluminum cans on the side of the road as well as any turtles he came across. Loved him some turtle soup.

The number of people pushing 70 that you see at Ironmans always amazes me. It's incredible what people can do if they are lucky to have good health and stay active.

This guy Doug. He's mid fifties wears speedos and swims 50 laps a day.

My cousin's father in law is in his 80's. He's a cattle farmer and can work any of us under the table even in the south Alabama heat.

Only 63 but gets mistaken for my brother sometimes he looks so young. Works with his laborers on the regular and will work them in the ground.

My uncle (who is 72) runs a manufacturing company started by his father. He has a salesman- age 94- who was hired by HIS father in the late 1940's.
This old guy- who I've met at their company Christmas parties over the years- is like a Jack Lalanne/Burt Reynolds/Chuck Norris combo.
He quit jogging a few years ago, but still walks a couple miles after work every day and is very fit/strong. He's buried 2 or 3 wives., and apparently is still "looking". He drinks 2 or 3 shots of bourbon or scotch every day with his lunch, but my uncle says he is always the best and hardest-working salesman the company has ever had. He even LIKES cold-calling.
If you met this guy, you'd think he was in his mid-to-late-70's. He's tanned from all the outside stuff, I guess, trim, and doesnt walk with a limp or anything like that. Says he'll never retire. They'll joke with him saying he'll never die, and he agrees.

My great uncle. Probably pushing 90 now. Worked for the power company in Connecticut. Talks about the days with "real men" in a Clint Eastwood growl. Often tells us his son married the wrong woman. Built a cabin on a lake up there back in the 40s/50s. Says every year it's too much work to drive up from South Carolina and care for it, yet there he is swimming the lake every summer and can tread water about 5 times longer than anybody else I know. He's a beast.

Grandfather is 76 and can still slalom ski like a champ. Unreal watching him do it. Hope I am blessed with his genes as I age.

Pete Boudreaux from CHS.
Don't think I've ever seen him stop running.
