I discovered this gem last night while shopping after work. I didn't feel like cooking. They have 3 tacos for $4, or you can make it a plate with rice and beans for $5. The tacos can be either beef, steak, chicken or pork. I went two pork and one chicken. Both meats were moist and tasty. I dressed them with pico, sour cream and guac. Pretty damn good deal imo. I didn't finish it. Screw Subway.

My Rouse's sucks so these items don't exist. Just ignorant employees bullshiting is all I got. However the new Rouse's is opening in Gretna, might be my new go to store

The one on Belle Chasse Hwy has a good lunch/dinner special as well. You can choose two smoked meats (pulled pork, brisket, wings, sausage) and two sides (greens, beans, cobbler, etc) for $8. It too is a good lunch. I've never finished it, and I can usually get two meals out of it.

Rouses boys know what they're doing.

Could make for a good shopping day. Hit up Twin Peaks then head to Rouses.

It's supposed to open this week. I'm pretty excited about it.

I usually go to the downtown store which is just as close as the Belle Chasse Hwy one for me. I prefer the downtown store. Beer selection at the Belle Chasse store is not so good.

I haven't been to that location in a while. I recall their breakfast bar on Saturday mornings. I'd go in there hungover as all shite and grab a few pieces of smoked sausage from the line.

Yep. Love that little area back there. Tacos, burritos and even their pizzas are all legit. They make pretty crappy sandwiches though.

I wish they'd start carrying the boiled necks like the Tchoup location does. I assume necks don't meet the demands of the clientele of the WHD.

Never had one.

That looks pretty solid.

For some reason, I never bought their cooked meals when I used to shop at that store.

Dealing with the idiots at the Tchop store makes me speed shop. I've never even looked at their cooked meals.

Those 3 tacos and a 24 oz big shot pineapple is my go to food after a night on the town.

Reminds me of a couple months back that rouses was selling whole pizzas out the oven for 5 bucks.

I need a map to navigate that store. Throws my shopping pattern off. I'll shop in Gretna.
