Calling in from Nova Scotia...

...last night in Halifax. Decided to eat at a place called "Baton Rouge". Been fun talking to real Acadians up here. Anyway, my waiter and the bar tender are planning a first ever trip to New Orleans to take in the LSU-Alabama and the New Orleans-San Francisco games. Of course, I told them to dial into Tigerdroppings to get apprised on what they do on game day. They are pumped up. If you see a post in the days ahead, they are legit.

Cool, we have had a few folks travel in for games through the years and they were helped out a good bit by posting here...one of them goes by the screename "Halifax"....

Oddly , very few Acadians are in Nova Scotia most are in New Brunswick. I went up there for the Acadian World Congress a couple weeks ago.

Correct. I also met another couple of people while here, a Melancon from New Brunswick (the guy knew the history of the Acadians) and a Boudreaux from Halifax. Another great conversation. Melancon told us that 80% of the people in New Brunswich are Acadian, maybe 10 or 20% in Nova Scotia.
