Galette:

"He did show weaknesses against the run and in coverage, overrunning opponents in the backfield and looking out of his comfort zone when dropping back to cover a receiver"

I remember being mocked for saying the same exact thing...

It's certainly not his strong suit, but he graded out -0.1 in run defense last year. 0.0 is average, so he's not the liability you were claiming he was.

Ingram, Hicks, Morestead deserve to be mentioned as legit possibilities. Maybe even Colston if he has a great year.

Colston

Absolute travesty that he hasn't made the Pro Bowl yet.

They held a conference when he was drafted, the powers at the top have barred him from ever making a pro bowl regardless of stats.

Hicks is definitely a possibility.

I'm hoping his stats will start to reflect his aggression and potential.

Agree on all but Ingram just because I don't think he'll get the amount of carries he needs to get pro bowl numbers

16-17 carries a game can put him into a 1200 yd season if he continues the transformation of what he's becoming.

It needs to happen now because I don't think he has but a couple good years left. Its gonna be hard to do because of all the young talent on the field, but that can help him also because he might not always draw the best DB anymore

Galette led the NFC in sacks (12) and was second only to Robert Mathis (19.5) in the NFL as a whole.

I would love to see him get that many carries, but I have a feeling its gonna be more like 10-12 per game for a total of about 800-900yds for the year. Too many rbs to feed.

I think Vaccaro is going to have a massive year. I can't believe I was ever upset about that pick.

None of these guys will play in the pro bowl because... Super Bowl.

My picks though:

Offense:
Brees
Graham
Evans
Armstead

Defense:
Byrd
Vaccaro
Jordan
Lewis

Hicks, Colston (want to see him make it more than any other player), Galette, Grubbs, Strief, Cooks and Stills are all possibilities as well.

frick this team is stacked. Season needs to start. I'm ready to see Roddy White knocked on his arse.

I never thought I'd live long enough to see the defense with a stronger backfield than any other position on that side of the ball. Byrd, Vacarro, Ball, Bush, Sunseri, and possibly Warren, make up the best group in the league and it couldn't have happened at a better time. The hurry up offense and pass happy rules arguably make the Safety position the most important position on defense.
