Should I retain C.J. Spiller or Chris Johnson?

I'm torn. I keep thinking Spiller will have a breakout year, but I've had him the past two years and it's extremely frustrating having Fred Jackson take his carries away. Also, Spiller seems to get injured often.

Other keepers include AJ Green and Adrian Peterson.

I'd roll with Chris Johnson. Bills also signed Bryce Brown who will be taking carries away from Spiller as well.

Spiller, cj won't put up big numbers in NY. Spiller may not either, but he gives you the best potential. He will finally be healthy to start the season and would like to think they use him correctly this year. Best case for spiller would to be traded

Spiller and Johnson are the only two possible keepers other than Green and Peterson?

Well this coaching regime seems to think that a proset formation and running downhill will net the best results. They have no idea how to use the most talented player on their roster so Spiller will continue to be a non-starter as long as he is not in a spread offense. He doesnt have the vision or downhill ability to be successful consistently. Chan Gailey's system lined him up all over the field in space and let him run to light. This scheme is the exact opposite.

With that said, Johnson will suck arse this year too. I would want neither.

This, I downgraded Spiller after this weekend.

They have the guy working on punt and kickoff returns right now. Not good.

Spiller. You already have a solid core, go for the upside. Johnson and Spiller have about the same floor IMO, yet Spiller's ceiling is astronomically higher.

Johnson was the #10 RB last season and #12 the year before that (PPR)...FWIW

...Jets were #6 in rushing YPG last season.

CJ had 10 carries for 63 yards and 2 receptions in preseason week 2.

I think he's pretty good value at his 6th round ADP

He was also very boom or bust. Don't get trapped by the end of the season numbers. He's just like T.Y. Hilton - A few big games skewed, what otherwise was, a mediorcre season.

Thanks for the response everyone. Much appreciated. I'm leaning towards keeping Spiller.

The only other realistic options are Roddy White and Cordarrelle Patterson. I like having two solid RB's though. However, Spiller was on my bench most of last season so who knows.
