Do you take Lacy or Mega from the 5th spot?

12 team, Standard scoring. Starting to overthink. At first I thought Lacy was a no-brainer, but now I'm considering Mega. I feel like Mega is the safer bet to stay healthy all year

Mega is not the safer bet to stay healthy. He's questionable every week and did sit out a game last year. I'm actually starting to get concerned about his health. I think both of these will score around the same amount of fantasy points. You can still get a top tier wr in the 2nd.

I am in the same position with a 0.5 ppr league. Ik now Mega is the safe smart pick, but I really want to pick Lacy.

I looked back and the spread from the 1st to the 10th WR was considerably less than the spread from the 1st to 10th RB in the past 3 years.

Mega is a sure thing, but it is much easier to find a 70 rec 1000+ yds 8 TD WR past Round 2 than a 1000+yds 8+ TD RB in later rounds.

But I flip-flop every week on the pick. Luckily my draft is not until the 28th. So I get to watch the 3rd pre-season game before deciding.

I took Johnson in my draft with the 5th pick. But my league is PPR.

Take Mega and get ready to not make the playoffs.

I always try to go sure-thing in my first few picks, so I would take Megatron though I can see why Lacy would be tempting. Dude has finished either at or near the top WR in PPR scoring for the last three years, and while I know you're in a standard league it still shows the consistency you'd get with that pick.

I took Mega with me fifth pick, then AJ was available in the second so I got him. Mine is PPR though. RBs ended up being Reggie and Ellington

I'm in th same dilemma in a PPR league. I've been Calvin all the way but now leaning Lacey. You aren't guaranteed a top RB if you take Calvin first. You can get a top 5 RB in the first then a top 10 WR in the second. Still so confused!!

For me it went this way: 12 Team Standard, Picked 5th

Had the same Mega/Lacy dilemma. Was banking on a top tier WR in Round 2.

Went Lacy...then Ball dropped to me in the 2nd (passed on Brandon Marshall)...Got Antonio Brown in the third.

Gotta say, I am pretty happy with my decision.

Go Lacy!

Lacy, people are going overboard with the receivers...the last place teams take megatron in the top 5

I've had this dilemma for weeks now have 5th spot in 3 leagues, two 12 teams, one 10 team...

The standard league I am going lazy, the ppr, and .5 ppr I am going Calvin.

Last mock in the 10 team went like this.

(We have to start 3 WR and a flex in this league)

Calvin
Dez
Gronk
Spiller
Luck
Gerhart
Patterson
Cameron
F Jax
Lamar Miller
DMC
Cooks
Ruben Randle
Josh Gordon

Figure if there is no "sure thing" at running back, I'll just grab 2 at WR unless I'm forced to go Bell, maybe Ball. It's all about points.

lol

It depends on league settings. I think receivers are unfortunately started to get valued more fairly. I used to love the discount on elite WR.

in a ppr, maybe...but even when I have receivers just going out of control, I get less consistency from them

lacy was a fricking stud and a consistent one, and he really didn't have many games with Rodgers...if Rodgers hadn't gone down in the bears game, lacy would've had the most insane game of the year

Rodgers being back is a good thing and the packers will be in the lead more often than not meaning plenty of lacy carries

starks doesn't do anything to his production...if starks wants to score it is going to have to be a long one

I just think he's injury prone. Plus he played the bulk of last season on a bad ankle. One wrong move and that ends his year. If I end up taking Lacy I'm 100% taking Starks to handcuff him

Lacy has the potential to be the number 1 fantasy back this year.

last season on a bad ankle

the bulk? that's not true...he has a solid first game ever against a good 9ers D then took his first run in week 2 10 yards and got a concussion...out for 3 weeks meanwhile 2 of his backups had big games and subsequently got hurt, allowing him to have another opportunity to be THE GUY, and he just killed it, then Rodgers goes down and he survives two backup QBs to still put up big numbers, leaves a game with an ankle, still plays next week and balls, finishes the season strong

that was a lot of shite to go through last year...he literally had every excuse to be mediocre. I'm banking on a less tumultuous season in Green Bay probably a good bet
