Need help identifying this baby snake. Found him in my garage, should I sell the house?

It looks like a baby copperhead to me but the tail isnt yellow and the markings are kind of faded . Maybe it was in shed?

Chicken/Rat snakes have a band going from eye to eye that I dont see in the OPs pic...

Initial thought was a Texas rat snake

But may be a banded water snake.

The banding does look better for that...it just wasnt as dark as the pics I had seen of them.
