Auburn / Florida road trip tips wanted

I'm making my first trip to Florida this year and have always heard that. Is it really that bad?

Go to Sky Bar in Auburn, and don't go to Gainesville.

Went to Gainesville in 2010. Imo Florida has the worst fans in the sec next to Arkansas

Everyone should get to experience the Swamp when those loony gator fans are truly fired up. Believe me bro, they always get pumped up for an opportunity to make new friends like us! I made that trip a decade or so ago and it was one hell of a party!

But don't get bummed after the game is over because there is a lot of fun to be had on your way out! Those silly gator fans tend to get a little fussy after receiving a good ole fashioned LSU style beat down in their own back yard so try to be understanding like I always am.

Like any appreciative guest always should, I thanked them all, each and every one of them, for showing me such a super duper time at their stadium. It must have really made them feel appreciated because some of their lower lips would get a cute little "booday lip" that would stick out and quiver like they were about to cry tears of joy after making lifelong friends with us that night. I tried really hard to let them know that this was a happy friend day and that we would always remember every single one of their faces and how hard they all cheered as if they were really going to win like they did in the old days. Yes sir, those crazy Booday lipped gator fans sure do get emotional sometimes.

And don't get me started about those lady gators! They are the friendliest gals you ever will meet. And I was really glad to see that each and every one of them loved Dick! They were so quick to bend over backwards for Dick that I just had to take pictures just to never forget how happy they all were when Big Dick stayed up with them all weekend.

Well, I am not one to kiss and tell but lets just say that Mrs Macho made one heck of an impression on those ladies as well. I couldn't believe how many different girls came one after the other to show us how much they loved making new friends.

Yes sir, you are in for a treat my friend. It must just be how they party out there. And who can blame them when the LSU Tiger nation come to town?

yep pretty much. people are dicks and so are the cops.

Auburn is cool, lots of tailgating and the skybar after the game is good stuff.

I enjoyed my trip to Montgomery/Auburn. We stayed at the Renaissance in Montgomery. There was a small, but solid, collection of places near the Renaissance and Embassy Suites (where the Tigers stayed) and the Friday night before the game was like an LSU block party.

I'm useless as far as tailgating suggestions. We parked pretty far away and ended up not having a lot of time to soak up them scene.

On I-10 look for the Florida Highway Patrol between mile markers 105-110. Count on them being there! I lived in the area for 18 years & they were consistent.
