Will the leave-early culture improve this year, stay same, or get worse?

I'm hoping for a general movement towards keeping the stadium filled until later in the games.

I think people will be more inclined to stay with better cell service and more pretty pictures to look at.

It'll get worse.

Same goes for lots of schools. Only a tight game will keep people in the stadium for the entire game.

At UGA, the default kickoff time is noon if the game isn't on ESPN or CBS.

Up 34-7 on Troy at halftime in 95 degree heat and humidity = 3/4 empty stadium by the 4th quarter.

I have never left a game early.

I don't leave movies early, so why would I leave a game early?

Probably going to be worse, especially for some of those early season crap games. Lots more people in stadium so folks will worry even more about traffic.

And of course this leads to the really good news..... Many more stupid threads on here about bad fans.

Unfortunately, it is probably going to get worse. I really hope not, but at best I can only see it staying the same.

have you not seen the home schedule this year? the stadium should be empty in the 4th quarter of most of the games.

Probably going to the stay the same. If that is true, it means that several juniors will have had excellent seasons and get good draft grades. This in turn opens up recruiting spots. It is up to the coaches to find out how best to deal with the system and to maximize the benefit of getting exposure and telling players they can get a chance to play early and if they are good enough to go to the nfl early.

well considering the NFL adopted a new policy on draft grades, where I think they will only give 1st, 2nd or stay it may help. Lets hope the players stay.

What's interesting to me is that for the New Mexico State game there will be maybe 80,000 people in the stands at kickoff, and absolutely 0% excitement before or during the game. 1/2 the crowd that does show up will leave at halftime, and it will take an OBJ missed FG type of play to get people excited.

Yet if the team doesn't come out fired up like they are playing Alabama and destroy NMSU 55-0, then this board and radio will be filled with people bitching about how they need to get motivated and we should have been able to get our backups for playing time. And I'd bet a large number of those people would be the same ones that either didn't show up or left early.

why do you care what someone else does with their money and their time?

Nope...this only happens in Tiger Stadium.

But to answer the OP's questions, yeah...probably about the same. The fact is that going to a game is a project for most and even though most have spent both a significant amount of time and money to actually go to the game, their attention spans are such that actually BEING at the thing they paid to go see and sat around much of the day to witness can't hold them.

Will the additional bells and whistles help hold some in? I hope not...because of that's why they are staying I'd just as well have them leave so that when the game does actually end and I leave, I don't have to fight the additional traffic.
