I am looking for some music that I can only describe as fallen angel rock. Similar to Dio/Ozzie/Iron Maiden.

Anybody got any suggestions? I like heavy guitar/bass riffs and angelic singing.

Love burzum. Op wants metal where the lead singer has pressure on him to hit high notes though.

Couldn't get into mayhem, Gorgoroth, satryicon, bathory, emperor etc

In Flames(some material)

Opeth

Between the Buried and Me(some material)

If you really like Ozzy check out Mastodon. One of the members resembles Ozzy at times and some of their tunes fits your description.

Bring yourself to the Hellsinki music scene. Lots of acts from there fit this build you seek

Appreciate the input guys.

I really like me some Queensryche now. Dokken is pretty tight too, I just haven't heard too much vocal range with them yet.
I'm trying to find someone close to Jack Black in his metal songs.

Mr. Savage, I listened to the Dream Evil song and enjoyed it. I will have to listen to some more of them.

Tried listening to Burzum but could not really get into it. Not really a fan of screaming.

I appreciate you guys' two cents and would love more feedback.

Queensryche. Geoff Tate is one of the greatest male vocalists of all time.

Operation Mindcrime is an amazing concept album. Right up there with greats like The Wall, Ziggy Stardust, etc.

Had a chance to see them on the Mindcrime Anniversary tour a few months ago....great show.

Iced Earth - Declaration Day

Judas Priest - Painkiller

anything with Tim "Ripper" Owens on vocals is what you're looking for
