He quit hoops because of "medical reasons" but never said what they were and in the article you posted his dad said "his son had been battling "demons'' for some time". Those 2 things make you have to think drugs and/or alcohol were involved.

I am sure his "demons" had a lot to do with his dad. But I am just speculating.

Idk, I got the impression from things I've read that his dad was overbearing and controlled his life. But I am probably way off base and completely wrong. Just impressions I got when he left lsu.
