MLB The Show. I just threw my last warm up pitch with my closer and pressed X one too many times to skip the cutscene of the hitter walking up. I grooved an 82 MPH fastball down the middle and the guy hit a walk off 2 run HR.

When NCAA still had the Hook and Ladder, can't remember what year, I was down down 4 with the ball around by 25 or so with time for 1 play.

Called the Hook and Ladder, executed the lateral perfectly. tried to dive into the endzone to avoid a defender and instead of the corner endzone dive like it normally does, it does the open field version of the dive and my guy plants the ball basically on the 1 inch line

needing a chip-shot FG to win the game, during the snap i experienced a connection "burp" which messed up my timing, causing the kick to barely cross the line of scrimmage.....my online buddy knew he got away with a lucky W, but he still gave me shite for it anyway

NCAA 07 I'm down by 2. Playing a buddy of mine. I get the ball on the 5 yard line with .03 left. Easy field goal, easy win.

Nope, in 07 it was a 50/50 chance any field goal or extra point gets blocked. So, of course it is blocked.

not sure but i beat a competetive buddy in ncaa football.. he NEVER beats me. He goes down and scores game tying td with no time left. He is goin wild. Xtra point wins game... i block extra point and return it all the way to win by 2. the whole return he was saying no...no...no...no over and over

Madden. Was a close game I was leading by a few and just got the ball back with under 2 minutes left in the game. Guy I'm playing online pauses and just leaves it. I tried out waiting him and came back a hour later and he still had it paused. Even though I was winning because I eventually left, I got the lost.

Madden 04. I was up 14 with 8 seconds left. My friend throws a Hail Mary and it's caught for a TD with 1 second left. On the kickoff, he calls for a squib kick. The kick goes past all my guys and sits in the end zone. His player gets there first to pick it up in the end zone for a TD. Goes to OT, I win the toss and receive. My guy fumbles the return, defense recovers. Kicks a FG to beat me.

one more i just remembered....

a couple of years ago, i was playing tiger woods golf online, and i got randomly matched up against someone for a 3-hole match. turns out this guy had a top-10 online ranking, so i knew this wasn't gonna be a typical matchup. we tied the first two holes, and he led of the next hole, a par 4, hitting it on the green off the tee. for my shot off the tee, on a stroke of luck, i smacked it onto the green, hit the flag, and it plunked into the hole for a hole-in-one....then, the frame froze up & wouldn't advance the game any further.

i can't remember if i got credited for a loss, but i didn't get credit for a win either....which, given the stakes in this match (beating a top-10 opponent, which surely would've helped my own stats & knock him down from the rankings at the same time), it sure as hell felt like a loss. to add insult to injury, later on the fricker IM'd me & gave me shite about the game freezing up....didn't know how to respond, so i just told him to continue padding his stats & enjoy his undeserved ranking, lol...
