I'm sure this has been discussed before, but how awesome of a conservative mouthpiece would Charles Darwin be today against the need for social welfare? As a population evolves, there are those who cannot adapt and therefore only prohibit the society it exists in from developing further. I'm starting to think Darwin might have had some good conservative notions in him that I think would be fun to look through.

I've said many times on here that what we're doing is exactly the opposite of survival of the fittest.

What you are arguing is essentially the position of those that supported slavery. Charles Darwin was vehemently opposed to slavery and wrote the origin of the species in an attempt to prove a common lineage between all humans as his religion suggested was true.

You can call it whatever you like, but attributed this notion of "social Darwinism" to Darwin displays a fundamental lack of historical knowledge.

Damn. Everything had something to do with slavery. I had no idea.

Actually, it has nothing to do with slavery. I'm not even sure how you made that connection. Explain to me, if I said I don't think my taxes should pay for someone else to sit at home and do nothing, how that equates to me thinking I should own someone.

I don't care too much about the point of your thread, but your assertion concerning Darwin is incorrect.

Darwin was clearly engaged in the War On Whites.

Charles Darwin was a naturalist not a political commentator. On another note, I'm sure the guy would have been mortified to learn that his theory became skewed to fit the agenda of crazy racists, i.e. the NAZIS.

Something important is being lost on you in this thread. I'll leave it at that.

You are correct. It is abhorrent for the human race to try to carry out selective extinction based on their own perceived notions rather than let the natural course of selection run, which is the point of this thread: letting natural selection run its course by not having social welfare.

No question the welfare state has diluted the gene pool.
