Exactly how effective are robo-calls?
Do they actually sway anybody to the candidate?
What is the no answer and/or hang up percentages?

I believe they work to a limited degree on the low information voters.

I love this term cause it doesn't apply to anyone. No one thinks it's them and everyone thinks it's someone else.

I don't answer any number that I don't recognize.

I think they're just to keep the candidate in mind. It also lets you know that they're out there campaigning. Plus if you go to vote and have no clue about policies, you'll vote for the name you recognize.

I got one during an LSU game several years ago. If I hadn't already voted, I would have made a point of voting against that jerk for interrupting. (It was some local race where all the candidates were basically the same.)

Probably about .3% of the vote, but robo calls are so cheap they are considered effective.
