everyone says that the seahawks have an incredible atmosphere, but for those with experience, which one is better?

Their speakers play crowd noise, ours don't.

This is true. Their stadium is still very loud though. Plus it's a great place to watch a game. Death Valley is louder and better game experience and is my favorite. But Seattle's stadium is great too.

Even if that's true, and I've heard no evidence of that at Seahwaks games, that's not the key. Been to a few Seahawks Saints games up here, and if you ever find yourself in that stadium, listen to how much noise a small portion of the crowd during warmups can make. There is no reason to have 5k fans before the game mic'ed up. Its the acoustics of that stadium. I don't know if they designed it perfectly for outdoor acoustics, if they lucked into it, or likely a bit of both; but that stadium holds in sound better than dome stadiums I've been too.

Seattle was hands down the loudest place I have ever been. It wasn't even close.

We went into the game thinking that it wouldn't be as loud as tiger stadium or the dome. We were wrong

We had about 20 people with us for the 1st game against them this year and we were all LSU fans. We were in awe. It really isn't close.

The roof is low and curves towards the field.

Thats 110% BS just an excuse people hold on to because they dont want to give a fan base credit.

But as a Seahawks fan and LSU fan I can give some insight here
At Century Link it's over all louder. By that I mean the crowd is loud through the whole game *mostly*
But Tiger Stadiums eruptions from the crowd are louder for like big plays or big series. You feel the crowd noise more at Tiger Stadium, if that makes sense.
The atmosphere of both is electric but nothing beats a Saturday night in Death Valley. Nothing. I love my Seahawks and my Tigers equally. But those Saturday night games are special.

They do blast those speakers until the 15 second mark on the playclock. It makes the games more fun and wish the Saints would do it

The pick 6 against the Saints this year was the loudest sound I've ever experienced

they should implode it. to watch the saints lose a playoff game because you couldn't throw a forward pass in monsoon conditions was an abomination. every time the weather let up, the saints scored. then 40 mph wind returned with freezing rain. tear it down!!

IMO, Death Valley is better. If I'm comparing big time college stadium vs pro stadium, I'll take the college atmosphere most times. But, I was pretty impressed with the Seahawk's stadium both times I've been. It seems like they get LOUD on every defensive play of the game. LSU fans make some noise on every defensive play, but seem to only get really loud in crucial situations and 3rd down.

We lost the game because we made mistakes early in the game. We dominated the line of scrimmage (offensively) and had a great game plan for the weather.

every time the weather let up, the saints scored.

We didn't score until the 4th quarter. We controlled the LOS on offense and put up over 300 yards passing. We missed field goals, fumbled, and couldn't sustain drives.

Ingram dropped a screen pass that was going to be at least a 20 yard gain. Then he fumbled the ball. We could have won that game with the way our oline was playing.

then 40 mph wind returned with freezing rain.

If we would have beat Carolina or St. Louis, San Fran is playing in the monsoon instead of us. The NFC Championship had perfect weather, and it may have been played in the dome. We blew it not the conditions.

Green Bay played at -8 degrees. Hard rain is a rarity in Seattle.

Didn't the SEC recently revise the rules to allow "artificial noise" during play for this season? LSU has never mic'd the band or the crowd as far as I know, but several other SEC stadiums do. Florida has done it for years. They leave the band mics on during play so that crowd noise is relayed over the PA system along with the band music.

We went there for a preseason game between SEA and OAK the thursday before the LSU/UW game. That stadium was louder than most SEC stadiums I have been in.
