Street light outside my house is out on the side street and that entire area is pretty dark.

Anyone know who to call to get that fixed? I have no idea. I am sure it will take them a few years to get it done so i might as well start the process now.

Yeah. It has a few lamps, the one that is out is the dark area. Happens to be by my back door.

Call Mayor Holden. He might come out there with his bike cop uniform on and fix it for you.

It would be whatever electric company owns the line and light. Either Demco or Entergy. I believe thats the only two in the Baton Rouge area.

Call the correct company and report it. Or go online and report it.

No you call 311 and they will call Entergy or whomever. They sub it out and it will get fixed relatively quick. Mine was out last year and it took less than a week to fix. Couple months ago another was out down the street and I called and it was fixed within a week. 311 can be pretty good if you don't act like a dick.

You have to know whether it is a public street (call DPW) or a private street (call your HOA).

Is the glass/bulb broken or just burnt out?

Friend of mine climbed one in high school and punched the entire thing out. Police happened to show up as he was still on the top of the pole. From what I remember, he had to call Dept. Public Works and get them out there since it was non HOA

Call 311. It would be obvious it it was a private street as there should be a sign as you enter that says "private street, no public maintenance".
