Did you know George Washington was not the first President?

Really? Do you know what "president" meant in that context?

It had nothing to do with the office created by Article II, which was practically designed with George Washington in mind.

My first thought as well. Anyone who took high school American history should know this.

Washington was the first president under the constitution, but America existed before then and had Hanson as their president.
