Enjoyed it!
Not sure I would wait on a Sat night like the line was but got there early enough and it was good and something unique in the BR area. Have had similar concept in other locales and it was spot on.

Rum House is legit, why else would it be so crowded.

Boo for their food.
Cheers for their environment.

Yeah I have never been but always thought of it as more of a bar but with these wait times I guess people treat it like a regular restaurant? Is there a decent bar area at least?

It's set up like a restaurant. Besides the crowd, I'd say the wait times are because people go and drink for a few hours at their table so you can't turn tables.

There are two bars and they're really legit but always full

Yeah this is what I thought. Next time I am in I will try to hit it up.

I thought it was ok. It's nice to have somewhere a little different to go. I think the outside area will be great once the fall gets here. The beer selection leaves a lot to be desired.

Their outside bar is pretty great IMO. I like it for an early happy hour type drink place. I've had some food that was good there but nothing to call home about. Really like the atmosphere though.

Went a few Saturday nights ago and told my single friend he should be going there every night, large groups of talent everywhere.

Reminds me of Superior Grill on Government in the late 90's-early 2000's.

Place is really cool but it was packed as hell and took forever to get a spot. Besides that drinks and tacos were great.

Yeah, the bank next door hired Riverside.

Seems like kindof a dick move. Why jump directly to such dramatic measures? Why not talk to Rum House management and try to come to some kind of agreement? I mean, Rum House's big crowds are at night when the bank is closed anyway.

Rum house bought land behind bank to build a parking lot. 550k for less than an acre. So they are serious about their longevity.

The food is good, not great but it's the whole feel of the place that makes it a winner. I've enjoyed it every time I've been.

I often walk around the trails at Perkins Rd. Park in the evenings and my laps take me by the grass "parking lot" behind McAlister's. It's kind of amusing watching the attempts at parking in the mud pit after it rains.
