This is a part of the war on whites that’s being launched by the Democratic Party. And the way in which they’re launching this war is by claiming that whites hate everybody else. It’s a part of the strategy that Barack Obama implemented in 2008, continued in 2012, where he divides us all on race, on sex, greed, envy, class warfare, all those kinds of things. Well that’s not true. Okay?

Ok White racial victimization for the win!

This is the same guy who said he "would do anything short of shooting them" on illegal immigration. I bet he watches Hannity and O'Reilly.

Why on earth won't blacks and hispanics vote republican?

I'm waiting for any falsity to his statements.

What does this have to do with blacks and hispanics? Your true racist colors are showing.

Would you not agree that there seems to be a concerted movement the last few years and now to demonize the white male?

I'm far from reactionary with regards to these matters and I see it everywhere.

President Obama could have united this country like never before with just an appropriate amount of "Rah Rah" and common sense. Instead, he and the democratic party push for divisions that hurt all of us. It's very disappointing and very sad.

Well considering he spent 20 years in Rev. Wrights "Church" did anyone really expect anything other than what we're getting from Obama?

Sure, there are some democrats who claim "racist" at the drop of a hat, but they do not represent the entire democratic party. There are some democrats who are overly sensitive and dramatic about race just like there are bigots in the republican party. But neither of those are accurate representations of the party as a whole - just some of the more unsavory parts.

Brooks is showing his arse by demonstrating he believes the straw man that is put up by Fox news, Rush Limbaugh, etc. Painting the entire party with the worst brush possible. "Free stuff"

But my take was more on the political aspects of his statement. It was a really, really stupid thing to say.

Goodness gracious awant.
Did you read the article you linked?

Was the Mo Brooks mantra not attached to the GOP?

For anyone with half a brain, this isn't exactly breaking news.

I mean, it wasn't by accident that the media turned George Zimmerman into a "White Hispanic" before they demonized him.

What do you mean? Are you saying the article is anti-GOP?

Ingraham: No, they’re playing the ‘race’ card. They’re playing the ‘race’ card just like they’re playing the ‘war on women’ card. This is what the left does. But I just think that phraseology might not be the best choice.

Some people playing race card is not the same as a "War on whites launched by the democratic party".

Yeah, I mean, it's pretty rich to listen to Democrats complain about people painting their party with a broad brush. Todd Akin says something stupid and suddenly every Republican is pro-rape or something.

Not touching this one. It's probably too heavy a subject for complete strangers to discuss openly, honestly, and in an informed manner. I'll start by saying that there is some merit to the argument that a core part of the democratic strategy is to posit the electorate as "old, stodgy white men and (married women)" vs. everyone else. I'll finish by saying that it goes both ways, it isn't new, and it's a shame that our political rhetoric continues to degenerate.

This kind of language may help to galvanize the mid-term electorate, but don't stand around pretending to be shocked when it backfires in 2016.

Alabama just being Alabama. There are good people here, but the ignorant masses outnumber them 100-1. Hopefully this clown serves out his term with as little additional embarrassment as possible.

Why do so many white men accept being belittled and insulted? Its like white lib-prog males believe that the only way to make up for past mistreatment of minorities is by allowing themselves to be the last race that making stereotypical derogatory racial statements or jokes about is acceptable.

I just don't believe that minorities benefit from degrading white men anymore so than women benefit from degrading men in general.

Its just wrong for white men to sit back and say " well,go ahead and insult me and other white males because we deserve it,or it will prove in really OK with minorities, or I hate myself and you should hate me too!". Is it some sort of superiority issue- to tell society that white males couldn't (and shouldn't) possibly be offended by race based insults? I fail to see the benefit here. It encourages hate and should be shamed into oblivion.
