Boat trailer inspection question

Bought a boat out of Georgia. To get trailer registered with DMV I have to get it inspected. Is that equivalent to going get an inspection sticker for a car, or am I making yet another trip to LDWF?

Did the trailer have a title in Georgia?

Used to be the same as a car inspection sticker, but as of August 1st, you shouldn't have to do that anymore. I registerred a trailer I built from a kit pretty easily. Just had to show the title. Didn't have to have any inpsection paperwork.

Yes, title in hand from Georgia. I let my bank handle all of my paperwork and all I'm getting is shite from both ends. I just keep all of my paperwork in my boat and tell green jeans it's pending. They haven't had a problem with it yet. Just getting aggravating getting the run around.
ETA: my boat paperwork hasn't been put through either. I haven't been pulled over for no license plate yet.

The new law that passed exempted certain trailers from inspection, including boat trailers. Might wanna look into that.

My dad hasn't had a plate on the trailer for his 13' whaler for the last 15 years . I think you'll be okay while you figure this out.
