Interesting tidbits from #Saints team issued "unofficial" depth chart. RB: Mark Ingram, Khiry Robinson, Thomas, Cadet, Strozier, Flanders.

Larry Holder @LarryHolder · 7m
WR1: Colston, Toon, Cooks, Coleman, Hull.
WR2: Meachem, Stills, Tanner, Morgan, Jones, Hawkins.
quote:
CB2: Bailey, P. Robinson, SJB
OLB1: Haralson, Fortt, Powell.
OLB2: Galette, Dawson, Butler.
KR: Cadet, Cooks
PR: Cadet, Cooks.

Lelito and Goodwin are both listed as No. 1 at center.

In the Saints' eyes, I guess so. RT @JGrizzy228: @LarryHolder fortt was moved to outside?
Will update as I see more

I asked him about the safeties. Curious to see where Warren falls.

If he can't get (stay) on the field, they won't have any choice in the matter.

What's weird is Fortt is listed as an OLB.

We have to stop moving players from areas of need.
ILB is, by far, the weakest position on the defense.
That's made even more apparent with 4-2-5 fronts.

I can see the WR1 depth chart staying somewhat this way (Cooks will pass Toon), but I find it impossible to believe Meachem will be ahead of Stills when the 53 are fixed. I guess the time Stills has missed is keeping him back.
I'm really pulling for Coleman. He has some work to do, but I feel he's going to be very productive (not to mention that Toon's durability is very suspect).

They're saying the depth chart order is largely built around experience.

Yeah. This listing of spots is worthless at this point.

It'll be interesting to see if Meachem can get back on the field. If not, Morgan might smoke him during the pre-season. At the very least, it seems as if our offensive woes have been fixed, safety issues improved, and our defense has not lost any major contributors in FA.
Now, the only thing we're missing is a kuechly/david type difference maker at LB. Next year, with the 32nd pick, we can probably pick up an athletic guy who can fill the void Hawthorne leaves or maybe an OG that can replace Grubbs

I'd be happy with this but I'm not sure if Coleman has surpassed Morgan. I'm sort of done with Morgan. Let's hope Coleman wins the job.

The good news is that he doesn't have to be better. He just has to keep improving. He has a high ceiling and the coaches know that he won't make it to the practice squad.

Victor Butler. The greatest Saint to never play a down.

If that really happens, that makes Ingram the most expensive RB in Saints history.

What exactly has this guy done for you to say he beats out Morgan?

Nothing really. Who do you think will be the better WR in 2 years? You can't stash Coleman on the practice squad. I'd rather keep Coleman and his potential than Morgan. What does Morgan do that Stills and Cooks can't?

SS: Vacarro Sunseri Ball
FS: Byrd Bush Warren
in all honesty I think Sunseri and Ball both make the team. But I wouldn't also be surprised to see one of the LB's cut and Warren make the team also.
