Al-Qaeda prefers Android over Apple's iOS

If you love America, you'll choose iOS.
quote:
Apple's iOS has taken majority market share in education, government and the enterprise, but Google's Android has become the favored mobile platform among Al-Qaeda operatives.
quote:
The report noted that Al-Fajr and GIMF have both released new Android apps since the public exposure of the widespread nature of American spying, with the apps being advertised as using the "latest technological advancements" in order to evade detection.
quote:
Android's unrestricted ability to sideload apps (install software that is not signed, from outside of a secure App Store) may be part of the platform's appeal to Al-Qaeda, in addition to terrorists' fears that Apple might cooperate with Western governments seeking to identify and stop their activities.
quote:
While being naturally attracted to Android by its price, availability and unrestricted app policy, Al-Qaeda's preference for Google's platform also means that its operatives are increasingly likely to target Android vulnerabilities simply due to their familiarity with the platform.
quote:
In addition to Android users being singled out for targeted malware attacks, the insecure nature of the platform provides Al-Qaeda with a vast network of devices to exploit for use in either distributed Denial of Service attacks or as a supercomputing cluster.

17 out of a million is actually a very low suicide rate, fwiw.

But we are supposed to care about that 1% now. We've become a society that deals in absolutes.

Geez, get a sense of humor.
BTW, the suidide rate in the Chinese general population is at round 250-300/1,000,000, therefor the Foxconn employee number means the opposite of what you think it means.

lol, I always found it hilarious that the media went after APPLE specifically over this shite. Foxconn makes components for close to half of the world's electronics -- Blackberries, Nokias, Motorolas, Playstations, Xboxes, Nintendos, all the major PC brands, routers, Amazon's electronics, etc. Even Samsung sources some things from Foxconn. It's just cheaper. They are the largest electronics manufacturer on the planet.

I was about to say, that's an extremely low rate

There were over a dozen that had happened in a span of 11 months, which is what prompted all the attention over the working conditions and carried over to the U.S., and then the media latched on to one reported suicide by an employee who lost an iPhone prototype.

That's still well below average when there are 80 suicides per million ppl per year in china. That's all I'm getting at.
