Cougar Town any good?

I'm know i'm extremely late to the party with this one but after a run of hour long serious tv series i'm looking for a good comedy to wind down with. I've seen just about every top comedy that is usually recommended. I finally decided to give cougar town a shot and after the first two episodes i'm digging it. What's the general opinion of this show?

I watched the first couple of seasons. It had its moments. Watchable but not memorable.
I keep meaning to do a rewatch and catch up at some point.
I DID NOT LIKE what they did to Ted from Scrubs. He had a crossover appearance.

The show gets much better about midway/two-thirds through the first season. Stops being about older women chasing tail and focuses on the insanity of the group of alcoholic friends in the cul-de-sac. Haven't watched the latest season on TBS, but I do think it's a funny show with some really great moments.

Someone definitely needs to mention AA to the ladies. Pretty much all they do is sit around and drink bottle after bottle of red wine.

If I recall, the Cougar Town group ran into Ted in Hawaii. He was Gooch free. She dumped him. So they took a shite on Ted's happy Scrubs ending.

Blame the damn Cougar Town writers. Hell, that might be part of the reason I stopped watching the show.

Wife and I watched the whole series on Prime recently. It’s consistently funny from middle of S1 to end of Season 5. Would recommend if you liked Scrubs.

One of my wife's favorite shows, so I've seen a lot of episodes. It's not horrible like a lot of the other crap she watches.

Another old, bumped thread. But Cougar Town is awesome. Watched it start to finish as it aired. Agree with the poster above that said once they get past the "cougars" angle (which is pretty quickly), the show settles down into a really good show.
Although I don't think it is in the same universe as Scrubs though, right? Because the same person plays Jordan Cox and the wife on CT.

What little bit of this show I've seen, it definitely appeared that Bill Lawrence had lost his mojo, post-scrubs.
