I have a catch basin in my barn that is about 12" x 12" x 12" deep. It has a 10" or 12" piece of PVC that runs from the catch basin to the pasture behind the barn where all the water and horse shite is supposed to flow. Well after years of use, its pretty well filled with shite, mud, feed, etc.
My question is, what can i use to push the crap out of the pipe? Will a roto rooter work?

Roto rooter will work assuming it's PVC and not landscape pipe.

Start for the downhill end.

Yep, PVC. Anything I should know about using a roto rooter? I've never rented or used one.

They also have this jet washer thing. It is like a pressure washer that runs down the pipe and clears it out. The roto-rooter will cut away stuff and push most of it out, but if you don't have a root problem the jet may be more what you need. I was having some backup at my house in a sewer line, and there were no roots, just a spot that was broken. The guy ran the jet down it and then ran a camera down after it was cleared out and saw the broken spot.

Yep, get a decent pair of gloves and no really loose clothing.

Also spend the extra $ to get the auto feed one.
