I live close, they do slightly better than average on fried seafood, but not great. I am not a fan of their seafood stuffing used in shrimp crabs, etc, but I do like the crawfish bisque.

Hilltop, and Sarita's are very close and Val's is down the road...

Im hesitant to go there since Kevin died. He literally was the only one who cooked in that kitchen.

Wick has appeared. I'd give weight to that info.

It is one of those places that has a good following and lots of people swear by it, but I am not sure why. As wick said hilltop just down the road is a much better option

Is salsaritas still there? I know they are moving, I thought it was this week?

If you like a fried shrimp. Hilltop does a very, very good jumbo fried shrimp...

They were still open as of last night. I no the new place is supposed to be open on the 10 th of the month. They might be open this weekend then shut it down. I already like their food, them moving in the path of my drive home is going to increase the business they get from me...

Went to Kevin's last night. It's good but I prefer Hill Top.

Great fried seafood, but that's all they have. They do a really good, light batter. Their fried gator is one of my favorite appetizers I've ever had, the crawfish begniets (more like a pistolette) are really good too. Go expecting really good fried seafood and that's what you'll get. Go expecting fresh, creative, non-fried foods, and you'll be disappointed. Their steaks are pretty good too, but stick with fried seafood.

I prefer Kevin's for most of their fried seafood (oysters, shrimp, crawfish, gator), but I prefer Hill Top for fried fish and everything else.
