Thoughts on the Benelli Ethos?

Looking at buying one for pheasant, quail, dove, etc.

I picked one up today at BPS and it felt amazing. Wanted some thoughts before I talk myself into it. Ethos

no experience.. but i have a benelli montifeltro silver that is my favorite shotgun EVER! Gun eats any shell, has never jammed, and shoots like a dream. So smooth, its like getting out of a pinto and in the seat of a ferarri. So if its anything like it... buy it!

i shut the door of my safe on mine and put a nick on my stock "maybe the size of the end of a needle" that no one would ever notice but its driving me crazy!! I looked at replacing the stock but that alone cost $350 on one of these ... soooooooo im leaving it as is

It is purely awesome, holding it does the gun no justice, you HAVE to shoot it. The only better Benelli that I shot was the Raffaelo Lord 20 (most expensive they make). I would say to buy it.

At 6.5 lbs, still to heavy for a upland gun.

Rabbit, you just sold me. It didn't take much.

It's tax free day tomorrow in MS so I'll save 7% too.

Don't know anything about the gun, but it sure is purty!

And, I'm good as spending other people's money so I say buy it!

I am in no way shape or form a fan of Benelli. That being said I handled one at gander mountain and left immediately because I didn't want to spend the money on the spot. That thing feels so good it's scary.

I have the 28" Silver Ethos.

For quail and dove, it is ready to go, out of the box, amazing gun.

For serious clays, it needs a bit of modification as 6.5 lbs. is way too light for a high volume day at the clay range.

For clays, I've gotten my Ethos all the way up to 8 lbs. 10 oz., but usually shoot it at just 8 lbs.

One of the best things about Benellis is there ability to be adjusted both weight-wise and fit-wise.

Here's some pics of my Ethos and Cordoba.

Also, here's a pic of the "guts" of an Ethos. Pretty impressive little recoil system they came up with.

Why an auto for upland birds? I would look at o/u and sxs guns. Something with with 30" barrels, probably in 20 gauge...

Are you laughing because I blacked out the serial number of the gun in the first picture? I do that for security reasons.
