Ruger is coming out with striker fired LC9S with better trigger. It still has the magazine disconnect. I have a LC9 sitting in the safe. I don't think it will knock the Shield 9 to the curb either.

I know Ruger does this to keep it commie state compliant but I wish they would make it an option. If anything, make it easy to remove like on the SR9.

But I'll have to check out one in the future to see for myself. The ergos seem fine, that MDS just bothers me too much. Almost every other single stack 9 doesn't have one.

Should be able to take it out like the LC9 I would assume. It's definitely a good option size wise if it performs as well as advertised.

If I didn't have a CM9 I'd buy it. I haven't shot my LC9 in about a year. It's just sitting in the safe.

Handled one tonight. They should have it in for sale in the next few days. Same price as current LC9. It's very nice. Ruger has stepped up the game. Larger external safety(think 1911), trigger that compares to a XDS, nice reset. It has a split trigger for additional safety.

The Ruger LC9 has the worst trigger I have ever put my finger on. Could the pull be any longer?

The hammer fired LC9 IS horrible. Probably a 3/4" pull at 10+ lbs.
the NEW striker fired LC9, by my estimate, is around 6 lbs.

dont' get me wrong it's a good carry gun. That thing can not go off accidentally. It's just not fun to shoot and takes a ton of practice to get used to the trigger. For me the Kahr CM9 is a better gun.
