Gonna come in at the end of career ring hunting for cheap and outperform all expectations.
Without the extracurricular serial date rapes...

I have to admit, the similarities are amazing. We just need that one more great year from Bailey. But I agree- please don't let him be a psychopath rapist.

Hmm... I'd probably go with Champ. He seems like more of an intellect than Darren.

Could Champ Bailey get cut by the New Orleans Saints?
What are the qualifications to be a writer for nfl.com

I honestly don't get why that is funny.

Champ is old.

Corey White is hot garbage.

Best situation would be kenny moving down and covering the slot and let bush play safety on passing downs.

Still a GLARING hole at that CB spot on the outside.

We will be fine. Corey White gets too much flack, he's a quality 3. Bring Kenny down as you mentioned and you also have P Rob who I really expect to shine under Ryan's defense. Champ only needs to play 25% of the time. Towards the end of the year SJB can see more reps as he's brought along slowly.

Wow that article is bad.

Let's ignore the fact that Bailey has been working mostly with the first string.

Let's ignore the fact that White is being cross trained at safety to increase his chances because he won't crack the nickel spot ahead of Bailey or PRob.

Let's ignore the fact that Warren's plays are coming against second and third stringers.

Let's ignore the fact that Rice retired because he wasn't going to be one of the top two guys, not because he was beat out by a nobody.

Let's ignore the fact that people are calling Bailey finished because he was injured last year and no one pay attention to thatfact.

I think he gets too many excuses made for him. Him and P-Rob are good at practice, but in the game they take bad angles, don't turn around, or get flat out beat.

I don't think SJB sees the field this year. He's def a project.

What a joke of a writer

No shite he's gotten a little older and wasn't what he was at 25. And he's lost a step... Well he ran a sub 4.3 at 1 point of his career, so I'll give him a 4.4 now... And you add in his experience and understanding of the game, Bailey is still a fine CB.

And what a lot of those writers don't understand is that Champ at 80% of what he was in his prime is still a fine nfl CB. I mean in 2012 he graded out as a top 10 CB in the league. And that was as a CB1. He's gonna be a CB2 or slot CB for us. Not like we signed him to be our CB1 and lockdown / shadow CB up against the top WRs in the league all game long.

The absolute worst position on the field to "lose a step." Take off the black and gold glasses for a second.

Only way Champ gets cut is if he goes walking down lower 9th at night and is mistaken for a white supremacist by a black knife gang.

You don't think Champ can cover the other team's second or third WR? C'mon man.

Not overly fast guys. Roddy probably has lost a step as well.

BaBaDoo, even though you think he isn't great, you don't think he is any danger of getting cut? Do you?

Right because Bailey will be on an island with no help against those guys. Bailey was a solid addition at a position of need. It's not like he's going to shut anyone down like he used to. I'm fine with that. Can he give us solid time against opposing offenses' second or third options? Yes.

Dont have any glasses on bro...

I agree yea hes lost a step. But just because you lose a step, doesnt mean you automatically go into the shitter and cant play anymore. And there some ways to make up for losing a step as well... instincts, game plan, help from teammates, coaches putting you in the right spot to succeed, etc.

No, but the guy is right. He may not make an impact at all. To say that we are set at that CB spot is insane. And yea, we leave people on islands all the time, so it does matter.
