Anybody an Apple Certified Technician?

Just wondering the easiest/cheapest way to obtain this. I could probably figure it out googling and shite but there has to be a couple of you in here that have done this. Worked in the PC world for 12 years but now reside in the land of Apple fan boys and girls. If I want to make any money while I'm here I might as well add that to the resume. I've been using Macs on and off for the past couple of years and it doesn't seem like rocket science.

Half-dated a chick once that was trying to be an ACT. It requires obscure knowledge of obsolete (not talking iPhone 3G obsolete; much older) products. I was under the impression it required employment by Apple, but I was getting my information through a female, so it was probably unreliable.

There's a "consumer" route to getting the certification, for those who want the bullet point on their resume.
On Apple's web site:
Then the Apple Care Technician Training ($300) gives you a year's access to the info needed to prep for these exams: LINK
So, $600 and you're good to go.

Candidates getting ACMT certified for the first time are required to pass these exams:
The Mac Service Certification Exam (9L0-011) — $150USD. Tests practical knowledge of effectively and safely troubleshooting and repairing Apple Macintosh systems, including displays.
OS X Mavericks 10.9 Troubleshooting Exam (9L0-065) — $150USD. Tests practical knowledge of OS X, emphasizing troubleshooting of OS X version 10.9, and applies knowledge of OS X 10.9 toward identifying common Mac OS X issues.

I have a coworker that is certified to work on iShit. They wanted me to become certified too, but I hate OSX with every fiber of my being and I'm probably getting out of the I.T. field because more and more people are expecting me to fix their fricking iMacs and shite. It's already difficult enough dealing with these numbnuts without dealing with this Mickey Mouse bullshite. Dumb people fricking love them some Apple.
