Recommendations for app/website for tracking new releases?

I have the bandsintown app (great app, BTW) which scans the artists on my phone and then alerts me when those groups have got a concert scheduled nearby me. It also recommends similar music, which is good for discovering new bands on otherwise boring Friday nights.

I'm wondering if there isn't an app that does something similar to alert me when bands that I like have new albums/EPs being released?

If not an app, what about a website that will notify me when bands that I listen to are going to release new music?

I trust you fine folks know of something. TIA.
