Stopped at Romanos a little while ago to get lunch, place is dark with sign on door saying "opening soon in Baton Rouge".

Place wasn't the greatest but I liked it every once in awhile.

Yeah, they announced it a couple weeks ago.

Never went even though I'm not far. Just didn't appeal to me for whatever reason.

I went once about 2 years ago. It was okay, nothing special. My salad was decent...but I thought it was in a bad location on Vets. Plus if I want Italian food I'm going to go to a restaurant rather than the Italian version of Izzo's.

Biggest issue with that place is the smell inside was way too overbearing. You'd have to shower and change your clothes after eating there.

Food was decent enough though, and I really enjoyed the gelato panini.

You should read the BR appetizer thread.

I don't remember ever hearing of this place.

I just looked them up on google. Is it a buffet? Looks like shite.

If Romano's read that joke of a thread, I hope they sell cheese sticks. That appears to be very popular amongst the Baton Rouge Sophisticates....

What does that mean? I've never eaten there.

You picked if you wanted your meal as a pasta, salad, or something else I don't remember (wrap maybe). Then you picked your protein, then sauce, toppings etc.
