My Louisiana observations

So I drove from ATL to houston yesterday and found a lot of:
1. Bridges - y'all have way too many waterways!
2. Casinos - jealous
3. Meat markets - there's seems to be 1000 world famous boudin places
4. Incompetent construction workers - seriously within a 5 mile stretch we were told the road was going to close 3 times creating 3 bottle necks only for it not to close for miles ahead and only for 50 feet, ridiculous!
5. The boot of Louisiana is longer than it looks, felt like it took forever to get out of.
That's about it, didn't stop anywhere but to get gas. Does anyone else feel like the Louisiana DOT is full of idiots?

They can make a culvert job last 8 months easily.

In the way back stop in Scott, La (exit 97) and go to Billy's for a couple boudin balls!

No complaints about the condition of the roads? I'm surprised. It is like light and day when you cross over from Texas to LA on I10. It really is embarrassing. I read the Beinvenue En Louisianne sign as I hit bump after bump after bump.

Texas has their share of shitty roads too. The last time I was there (April), the local news channel in Houston aired a documentary on it.
Houston roads (overall) are horrible. River Oaks area is miserable to drive in (road wise)

The condition of your post is more worrisome.

1. Bridges - y'all have way too many waterways!
1). We build bridges over everything - waterways, cities, stripper bars etc.
2. Casinos - jealous
2) never knew we had so many Indian tribes that still existed until we legalized gambling
3. Meat markets - there's seems to be 1000 world famous boudin places
3) now you know why we lead the nation in obesity and heart attacks & strokes
4. Incompetent construction workers - seriously within a 5 mile stretch we were told the road was going to close 3 times creating 3 bottle necks only for it not to close for miles ahead and only for 50 feet, ridiculous!
4) that's what you get when the local State Representatives or Legislators hire their cousin Eddie's construction firm to do the work
5. The boot of Louisiana is longer than it looks, felt like it took forever to get out of.
5) try driving South to North through MS or AK and then report back
