The actor is British, the character is American. By osmosis the brit saves the day. End of story.

unless Christian Bale is fictional, no (I'm choosing this fight because no one can top Batman)

Well from the choices, the Doctor is the winner. Sure HP has got a bit if magic and Bond has some firepower and a titanium schlong, but the Doctor can go anywhere in time and space and wreck shop if need be.

I would agree but he's not a fictional Brit, he's a fictional alien.

Sticking strictly with the criteria, the answer has to be Bond.

Before I opened this thread, I thought it was a Dr. Who thread.

The only person out of the group tasked with really "saving the day" is Dr. Who. Potter is in his own world. Bond is an international spy who takes on bigger things. Sherlock is a detective, not really "saving the day," (he has his moments though). King Arthur is just fighting for his throne. Robin Hood is a thief.

Maybe Quartermain? A case can be made for Sherlock.
