Read today the WH thinks the republicans may impeach Obama if they get the chance. Why would they even make a statement like that??

They want their base energized. They want them to think this election will be about Obama's impeachment.

I mean winning the senate and him being a lame duck won't even slow this president down. He has his pen and phone. Dude is on a mission to bring this country to it's knees before he leaves office. We can only hope his disproval rate is so low that the base doesn't have a snowblitz chance in Dante's inferno to be back in the Oval Office in 16'

But that just may be too late, so I understand people whispering "impeachment" even if it's a pipe dream

I'm sure the Obama Administration will count on their low info voters believing that 51 Republican Senators can impeach Obama.

Probably, but there's a lot of talk from the fringe. Will it happen, very unlikely, but the WH isn't grabbing it out of thin air.

I have no doubt this is being used to raise money and energize the base. I'm sure more executive orders will be coming that try to force the Republicans into impeachment hearings. It would do a lot to motivate Democrats to donate and vote. It also creates another media distraction going into election season.

Maybe, maybe not BUT if the GOP can get the Senate back and get someone like Ted Cruz as the head of the Senate Judicary, they can stop this obama fool from his continued stacking of the federal courts with left-wing nazi's.

With BOTH the House & the Senate, with real conservatives at the helm, they can defund most of obamas illegal activities.

Didn't McConnell say straight up he would move it back to 60% of the votes?

I think that is correct. I would hope he wouldn't just to give the rats a taste of their own medicine.

More relevant than how many Republicans or Democrats want him impeached is how many Independents want him impeached. In the poll I read today, a whopping 35% of Independents want him impeached. In other words, strip political biases out of the equation, and nearly four out of ten neutral voters think you should be fired.

maybe get some John Thune in there or a Vitter

We all know Boehner is about the most worthless Speaker. Making Delay and Newt look like winners. 6% approval rate for congress is awesome

Immediately after Clinton was impeached his popularity/approval rose to 76%. Plus the Senate did not convict him. He served out his term, ending with around 60% popularity/approval. Just saying...
