8 cities in Alabama have banned pitbulls. Should your city do the same?

Police have responded the third pit bull attack in the last week in southern Alabama, and the second in 24 hours. Authorities
arrived on Heritage Drive in Mobile where a man was suffering from a pit bull bite to the leg. According to the victim's mother, her 29-year-old son was attempting to break up a fight between dogs when the attack occurred.
The man was taken to the hospital along with a woman who was knocked over in a scuffle.
The pit bull was taken away by animal control, police said.
This attack comes after two separate incidents involving pit bulls. On Thursday, an 18-month-old girl was attacked by three pit bulls and suffered severe facial injuries. Last weekend, another pit bull attacked a bulldog, ripping a chunk of it's abdomen out.

I know the news blow things out of proportion but 3 attacks a week is just stupid. If you had the option to vote for a county/parish ban on pits, what would you choose?

I told you Pits are OOCIA

The dog in that picture is not a pit bull.

Not to ban simply because in some of these attacks, it's reported as being a pit bull but in reality it's another breed.

I'd support euthanization of the owners and all of their family members to make certain that their gene pool is not propagated.

I've known plenty of great and sweet pit bulls. Owners are the problem. This is just like the Rottweiler or Doberman bigotry of the 80s and 90s.

No. And I'm not even a pitbull fan.
This is America, not Russia, and people should be able to do as they want. Don't want a ravenous pitbull living next door? Don't cram yourself into a shitty part of town surrounded by them(and their generally uneducated owners).

I would support the ban.

I wouldn't mind seeing the breed banned in my community, but this is Florida, Dumbshit Capital of the Universe, so it'll never happen.

Some people don't have the option. I guess their kids will just have to live in fear and not play outside.

Rottweilers, German Shepherds, Siberian Huskies. Doberman Pinschers, St. Bernards, Mastiffs, and other Bandogges.

I go both ways. I'd feel bad for owner who have really good ones. But in general I do think they're problematic.
My neighbors have a rescue pit who is pure muscle but won't do anything other than get in my lap and get bossed around by my cranky golden.

I'd rather ban half the p i population from being able to own a dog. Some people don't deserve dogs the way they treat/raise them.
