Local news interviews 80 year old man who shot an killed one of two intruders
Short story: Man and woman break into this old guys home. He comes in they tackle him and then proceed to break into his safe as he watches. He gets his gun when the man goes downstairs to get some tools and they run when they see he has a gun. Now outside the home he shoots at both, man gets away woman doesn't.

According to the interview, the old man says this was the third time they had been there stealing his shite, but the first time he had been at home when it happened. They tackled him to the ground and broke his collar bone. So he got his gun and gave them a lesson at least one of them will never forget. The dude's girlfriend/wife is presently lying on a slab at the city morgue. Perhaps that is incentive enough for him never to steal shite again.
