I hope CNN does this poll this time next year after the near 20% premium increases go into effect in a number of states...

quote:

Eighteen percent of Americans, or fewer than one in five, say they or someone in their family is better off because of the Affordable Care Act, according to a new poll by CNN. Nearly twice that number, 35 percent, say they or someone in their family is worse off. A larger group, 46 percent, say they are about the same after Obamacare as before.

In nearly all demographic categories — age, income, education, etc. — more people say they are worse off because of Obamacare than say they are better off.

If I was reporting this, I would say - "64% feel they are the same or better off under obamacare" - much better spin!

I think the news is that most of the population don't even notice it.

I'm paying 39% more now, since my old plan did not have all the "essential benefits". Yet there are people that are paying as low as $45/dollars a month with my money. It is one of the most blatant examples of wealth confiscation in the history of the country.

Also, because obamcare forces providers to give coverage to people that were previously sick, it is appropriate to say that it's not even health insurance any more.

To think, next year the penalty will be $625 if you do not do the government's bidding.

Quite an accomplishment for a bill costing the government into the trillions.

, so that's how we judge the effectiveness of a law? What low standards.

i think the goal was for most people not to notice, to just expand coverage. But yes, I agree its a disaster.

Hope you're not in NY or Tenn... Those are the first two states that have already asked for 18% increases for 2015.
