Was going home to Alexandria this weekend and saw Scott Weiland was playing at the paragon. Being a fan of VR and sort of STP i figure what the heck its only 20 bucks.

My my how the mighty have fallen.

They've had some fairly big-name bands and comedians go through there for some reason. I was hoping the new L'Auberge in Baton Rouge would pull in some of those acts, but they haven't.

I would definitely go see Weiland here at L'Auberge, but I'm not driving to Marksville

Same here. Its a shame L'Auberge can't get better bands here. The one in Lake Charles gets better acts than BR.

I did see Alice Cooper at the Paragon as well. Maybe the paragon pays well

Still debating on going. I know I will be disappointed and it will ruin my love for STP.

He's the headliner for a radio station "festival" in Shreveport.

The lineup is:

Weiland
Kevin Martin(of Candlebox)
Fuel
Avatar
Charm City Devils
Fozzy (Chris Jericho's band)
Downfall Rising

I'll be there for Weiland.

I saw Queensryche (Geoff Tate's version) at Paragon in April and that show was badass.

This reminds me of my favorite joke:

You know where they have the most alternative rock Grammy Awards?

In the pawnshop next to Scott Weiland's dealer's house.

His setlist has only been 13/14 songs....so it's only about a 70 minute show.

I saw him with VR and stp and must've been lucky given his rep as he was fantastic each time.

He's erratic but when he's good he's a heckuva performer

I saw him in 2001 (or maybe 2000) at voodoo right after he got out of rehab and he was fantastic.
