I workout 4-5 times a week. Usually weight lifting, sometimes heavy bag training.

Was sick at beginning of june and had to take a week off. Now sick again, from working a lot probably.

Do any of you workout while sick? had a head cold, now its just a hacking cough. What do you OT gym rats do when your sick? thanks for your help

Keep working out just don't take prescription sinus medicine while doing it.

I learned this the hard way.

You need to rest, that should be obvious to you.

I've been told you could relapse when doing strenuous activities during or directly after being sick.

Step 1: Get a gallon of water

Step 2: Bring gallon of water into a sauna with you

Step 3: Don't leave sauna until you've finished that gallon of water.

Step 4: Shower, sleep, wake up feeling new.

Wow, that's pretty tough to work through. So you sometimes cough while lifting now?

How do you manage? Do it get in the way?

All Day ERRY DAY WE LIFT, WE LIFT, WE LIFT

Don't work out while sick.

You're not doing your body any favors.

I used to just push through it....not sure whether it had an effect or not on the duration of my sickness...

nowdays, I don't want to spread my crud to the rest of the world, so I just skip when I am sick...doesn't really make a bit of difference in the scheme of things to skip a day because you are sick....

A hard workout works against your immune system- at least that is what I have heard.
