Didn't win it, what's the point? I get '09, but every other year is ultimately a failure. Just saying, I don't get it. It can be argued that winning the Conference is still a solid achievement, so what did we win? Here's your 5th/6th place trophy? Most Improved Award? A participation award?

Not knocking the season, it was a lot better than the previous year. But I don't see anything to celebrate.

I don't view it that way. Am I to just forget the year Cam Jordan and Junior broke out? Vaccaro's rookie season? So it didn't end the way we wanted, but it's not a failure. We began to build something special last year.

If you honestly took that view point, then you're erasing the majority of Saints history. Why celebrate the dome patrol? Why celebrate our first playoff win?

I watched the first 8 minutes, but got busy. I'll watch the rest after lunch.

You are measuring individual things, which growing up watching the Dome Patrol I appreciate everything they did. Watching Sam Mills inspired me to play as far as I did. The playoff win, when looked at on a game level, I celebrate and appreciate everything it signified as a team. But the year ended in a blowout in Minnesota, so that year was a failure. As a fan it is not my job to manage PR for the team, and I will continue to call things like I see it. Every season except 2009 was a failure when examined within the context of a season. I don't understand celebrating a season that didn't at least get us 2nd place. Hell, we didn't even win the division, it was taken from us by a team that wanted it more. What's there to celebrate about last year?

Could it be the doorway to another Super Bowl? I certainly think so, but the fact is our guys had every opportunity in the world to win it all last year.

Have it your way.

I enjoy every season.
I don't consider every single non 2009 year a failure.

I enjoy every season too. I guess it's the player in me that pushes me to think that unless you win you have nothing, but it's just how it is in football.

Nonsense. Want had nothing to do with it. We had weaknesses that led us to losing some key games. Motivation wasn't a problem.

I feel you put your foot in your mouth from the get go, and now you're trying to somehow gracefully take it out.

So you're saying Carolina was the better team last year?

We could have put the division to bed by winning @ Carolina. We promptly beat them 2 weeks before at home, then couldn't deliver away. You tell me that want had nothing to do with it? Are you kidding me? Yes we lost very winnable games on the road, but to say motivation does not have something to do with it is being blind in my opinion. People act like we did not play with the same guys at home or something.

I played in college... so college players don't play to win too? Is that the next topic on the menu?

Early season, Oline, lack of running game.

Later, OLine, offensive inconsistency.

Not being able to close out a couple of close ones.

Basically, it all boils down to the OLine...and the teams with stronger, more physical fronts, made them pay.

Defensive much. I just assumed you had played NFL. Calm the hell down. Where did you play college ball? Or is that going to elicit a defensive answer because it was not SEC?
