Yes we lost very winnable games on the road, but to say motivation does not have something to do with it is being blind in my opinion. People act like we did not play with the same guys at home or something.

You are contradicting yourself. Are you saying that they "wanted" it more at home than on the road? They got beat because they couldn't close out some games. New England, Carolina, NY Jets....3 winnable games from the road. Take out the Seattle game (reg season), they got blasted. The playoff game in Seattle was different. Couldn't finish off drives. Seattle's D was nasty last year. They were just better.

So you're saying Carolina was the better team last year?

Strawman.

We could have put the division to bed by winning @ Carolina. We promptly beat them 2 weeks before at home, then couldn't deliver away. You tell me that want had nothing to do with it? Are you kidding me?

It was Armsteads first game. He had a rough first half. Vaccaro went out with an injury early in the game. Jenkins and Harper were exposed in coverage late in the game. Weather was also a factor.

I believe we were the better team last year, especially after our o-line settled. That's not always going to be reflected in the final records, because every team is playing a different schedule.

Sorry, I have a differing opinion on tigerdroppings, awaiting to be hauled off to the gas chamber.

MSU, '99-'02. And it is SEC, so you might still get one.

If motivation was the issue, those games wouldn't even have been close.

I disagree again, sorry paddy I genuinely do like you as a poster, not trying to just start a fight.

Look at the point spread at home, versus away. That is motivation, preparation, and mental fortitude, or lack of.

Hardy had 2 sacks in the first half.

Forgot about that. Big impact on the back half of the D.

Non of these are related to each other. You can be motivated, but not prepared or vice-versa. I think it was a mental thing more than anything. I don't think it had anything to do with motivation or preparation.

I disagree. It was a lack of an effective running, pass blocking deficiencies game and communication issues.

one thing they do differently in the Yearbook now is not talk about the newcomers to the team.

maybe they did for other teams but I haven't seen any other ones.

we upgraded at a position of need (safety) and did so with the top FA on the market at the position.

I think Kenny Stills is going to be a good one. The guy made a few TD catches on 3rd-and-long situations and his grab against NE was big time considering it was a go ahead score late in the game on the road.

I think he's one of those guys who could end up being consistently sneaky like Colston. Teams will be looking at Jimmy Graham and once Cooks gets rolling, guys like Colston and Stills will find some nice mismatches out there.

if you look at some of Stills big plays he was just abusing a defender who had no chance at covering him.

I only watched the ones on our division but I think they did them based on performance during the 2013 season. With Atlanta and Tampa they basically did fluff pieces of why they are going to be great in 2014. Both had bad 2013 seasons so they rarely mentioned them. With us and Carolina they reviewed the 2013 season with little mention of anything dealing with next season.
