Wasp? Need an id if y'all know!

Got stung 2x at my folks, got fever in the stings, never had a problem with stings. This is the worst sting I've ever had, got a pic but don't know how to post a pic will email if someone will post it. About twice the size of a red wasp, black head an wings. Stinger like a needle

Naw, it's a wasp, was washing my moms car. Just stung me twice, hung around took half a can of spray to finally kill the devil. No nest close

Nope I got a pic just need someone to post it, killed 3 more trying to get under the shingles at other parts of the house.

I pretty much get fever in the sting anytime I get stung by a wasp...then it gets sore and starts itching....

It's been nearly 12 hours since we've heard from TDog. Chances are, because he never learned to post photos on a message board, he's gone... 
If only he'd known about photobucket...he'd still be here with us today.
Moral of the story, learn how to post photos if you're going to post on the OB. It very well could save your life!!

Just means that the skin around the sting is hot. Just like any type of sting ever.

What color was it's legs? Going by the description you've given, it sounds like it could be one of three types.
Either Mud Dauber, Giant Black Wasp, or Ichneumon. Google these and let me know.

tdog could be like me after a sting and be flat on his back, delerious with a high fever.
Anytime I get stung I get a high fever that lasts for a few days and I'm completely out of it.
After the last time I was stung, my doctor told me that if I ever get stung again to immediatley go to an ER and tell them I'm allergic to wasp stings and they will give me some shots. He said that if I was stung multiple times it could kill me.
And dirt daubers sting, I stepped on one barefoot and my foot swelled up to twice its size.
Anytime I get stung I get a high fever that lasts for a few days and I'm completely out of it.
