3 day weekend in Los Angeles- what to do?

going out next month for a work meeting Tuesday-Thursday and having the wife fly out Thursday night to meet me.
we will basically have all day Friday, Saturday, and most of the day sunday. short trip but looking for "must dos" or suggestions
wife has never been to SoCal so I figured we could get some of the touristy stuff out of the way in the first visit
